Membership Applications
Membership in Tuatha de Danann is open to all races, and all classes, with
a minimum level of twenty(20). Alternates of current full members may be tagged
at level ten (10).
There are two methods of admission into Tuatha de
Danann, depending on your history with the guild:
New
Member:
A person who has never before been a member of Tuatha de
Danann may seek Probationary Membership in the following manner:
1.
Register a new account and indicate your interest in joining. Answer all
questions fully. If you already have an account on the site and you wish to
express interest, you may do so under your Account preferences.
2.
Communicate with us in game, group with our members in your level range if you
can, speak to one of our Elders.
3. One member must be willing to Sponsor
you into the guild. This ties your Honor to theirs, where you have the ability
to shine, or.. to not.
4. An Elder will likely interview you with the
same questions that we ask on this board and generally chat with you at length
to determine a good fit with Tuatha.
If the Elder deems you a good fit,
and you have a member Sponsor, they are authorized to invite you on the
spot.
Probationary Membership is a 30 day period, during which time your
access to the Private Forums is restricted. In addition, if you are found to NOT
be a good fit for Tuatha, any Elder is authorized to remove you on the spot,
without much counsel.
During the 30 days, you are welcome to attend all
Tuatha raids and events. Please consult an Elder for upcoming activities, and
ask to be signed up if the event requires signups. On such raids as a
Probationary member, you are eligible to roll for items following the Loot Rules
in another post, at a slight penalty (/random 85 instead of /random
100).
The Elders may choose to extend probation as they deem necessary in
the event that you are online infrequently, or otherwise not visible to the
membership during your probation. This is not a commentary on you, only that it
is important you have plenty of opportunities to interact with the guild before
full membership is awarded.
After your probationary period ends, if there
are no grave complaints against you, you will be embraced as a full member of
the guild, with all access being granted to the Private areas of this message
board and the ability to then bring in your alternates, should you so desire.
Your /randoming penalty will also be lifted.
NOTE: Tuatha can only
sustain 20 probationary members at any given time. Any more than 20 and
individuals might get lost in the fold and not given the attention they
need/deserve to decide if they are a "right" fit for the guild, or if the guild
is a "right" fit for the individual.
If you are interested in joining us
as probationary but we are full, please have patience until we have a spot for
you.
We look forward to welcoming you amongst the ranks of the Ever
Young.
Returning Member:
A player who has been a member of
Tuatha de Danann in the past, and left in good standing, may follow this
procedure to petition for re-admittance:
1. Post to the General forum
your desire to return. You may include any level of detail regarding your
reasons for leaving and wishing to return. You are also encouraged to
communicate directly to the Elders any specifics you feel may be too inflamatory
for a public forum.
2. For a period of no more than one week, the Elders
will discuss your application. During this period, the membership are encouraged
to communicate any questions or concerns they may have to the Elders.
3.
At the end of their consideration, if the Elders have substantive objections to
your return, they will be communicated to you, you will be wished well, and no
further action will be taken.
4. Should no such objections arise, your
return will be put up to a simple yes/no vote open to full members. After one
week, those votes received will be counted, and if you receive a 3/4
supermajority of the vote, you will immediately be granted probationary
membership as descibed in the "New Member" section above.
If this is
your first time returning, your departure was recent, precipitous,
and due to stressful or misunderstood circumstances, the Elders may
at any point choose to forgo the guild vote and immediately begin
your probationary membership.
